Logo designing

A logo designed for a trademark needs more than good looks, it needs originality, a clean vector file, and usage rights that let you file and enforce. Rapidfiling designs the mark and hands over the files in filing-ready form.

Service overview

Logo design and trademark filing intersect at originality. A logo assembled from stock elements or a generator carries other parties' rights inside it, which surfaces at the worst times, at examination, when a marketplace checks the brand, or when the original designer's terms surface. A purpose-designed logo with documented ownership avoids all of it.

The design process is structured: a brief on the brand and where the logo will appear, concept directions with revisions within the agreed rounds, and delivery in the formats real use requires, vector masters for printers and filings, and web-ready exports for platforms. The trademark connection is built in: the final file is representation-checked so what gets filed is exactly what ships on packaging and listings.

Rapidfiling runs the design, delivers the file set with a written transfer of the design rights, and can file the trademark application for the finished logo as a separate engagement.

Who this service is for

  • New businesses creating a brand identity before trademark filing
  • Businesses refreshing an old logo that no longer scales to digital use
  • Owners whose current logo carries unclear rights from a previous designer
  • Brands needing a filing-ready vector of a logo that exists only as a low-res image

What support includes

  • Design brief discussion and concept directions within the agreed revision rounds
  • Delivery of vector masters and web-ready exports in the standard file set
  • A written transfer of design rights and originality confirmation

What support does not include

  • Guarantee that any design is registrable, the Registry decides that at examination
  • Trademark search and filing, quoted as the separate registration service
  • Brand guidelines, packaging design, or a full identity system beyond the logo

Requirements and documents

Important limitations

  • A design's originality is our work product; registrability is decided by the Registry at examination
  • Stock-style requests ("make it look like this other brand") are declined as a matter of practice
  • File formats beyond the standard set, like 3D or animation, are separate engagements

Frequently asked questions

Do we own the final logo completely?

Yes, the handover includes a written transfer of design rights and confirmation of originality, so the trademark filing and enforcement run on clean ownership.

Should the logo be designed before or after the trademark search?

Search first where the name is the core of the brand, no point designing around a name that is taken. For device-led brands, design and search can run in parallel. We advise per case.

What files do we receive?

The standard set: vector masters (AI/SVG/EPS), print-ready PDFs, and web-ready PNGs at the common sizes. Filing uses the vector representation, which we prepare to match exactly.

How many revisions are included?

The agreed revision rounds, stated in the quote before work starts. Additional rounds are quoted at the same rates, scope stays visible from day one.
